Art Quest

Art Quest is a supplimentary after school art program offered for students in 2nd -8th grades. Classes will be held in the elementary art room at SRCS and instructed by our elementary art teacher, Robin Dent.  Please email if you art interested in a registration form:  robindent@strong-rock.com

 Calendar and Tuition

 

The SRCS Calendar (including holidays) will be followed.  Art Quest classes will meet once a week for one hour at a rate of $15.00 per class. Classes will be offered on Monday afternoons for 2nd -4th grade students (2:50- 3:50) and on Tuesday afternoons for 5th-8th graders (3:15-4:15).  Art Quest classes will meet in the elementary art room (room 1141) and pick-up will be in the front entrance car-line area. Tuition is billed monthly or can be pre-paid in a lump sum for each session. Payments made monthly will be divided into four equal payments and will be due by the tenth of the month.  There will be a $5.00 late fee for all payments not received by the tenth of the month. Checks may be made out to Robin Dent.

 

2nd-4th Session 1 one payment of $180.00 (or four monthly payments of $45.00)- Aug.16-Nov.15 (12 classes)

2nd-4th Session 2 one payment of $210.00 (or four monthly payments of $52.50)– Jan. 10-May 2 (14 classes)

5th-8th Session 1 one payment of $195.00 (or four monthly payments of $48.75)–Aug. 17-Nov.16 (13 classes)

5th-8th Session 2 one payment of $225.00 (or four monthly payments of $56.25)– Jan. 11-May 3 (15 classes)

 Class Size and Curriculum

 

Students will be scheduled on a first-come basis and according to availability. Class sizes will be limited to no more than 12 students.  Returning students for Session 2 will receive priority in class slots.

 Missed Lessons

 

No make up lessons will be given, however students will be allowed to come in before or after school to make-up or complete a project independently when previously arranged with Mrs. Dent.  Tuition cannot be prorated for missed lessons.

Curriculum for Art Quest classes will be focused on the use of various mediums and subject matter to include:    improving drawing skills, clay, art history, color theory, values shading using pencils, water colors, colored pencils, oil pastels, canvas painting, collage, sculpture and many more.

Supplies

 

Most of the supplies will be provided by the instructor. Students will be asked to provide four 11”x14” canvases and a sketch-book and may be brought in at the beginning of each session.

 Termination

 

A 30- day written notice is required to terminate lessons.  If notice is not given, the month’s lesson fees will  still be due by the tenth of the month.
